Pictures From the Weekend...

Lindsay & Aaron's Mexican Fiesta Couples Shower...such a fun party and the weather was awesome!

Busy Busy Bee...

That's me! I worked a 10 1/2 hour day today then went to the gym and now I'm already ready for bed and it's not even 9:00! I'm ooooold. Today was my first full day working at my new job and I already love it. I'm super busy but I thrive on that and it makes the day go by so much faster. I guess I didn't realize just how bored I was before! I definitely have to prioritize my time more wisely. I used my weekend to the fullest and worked out, cleaned the house, de-junked a junk closet, mowed my lawn, did laundry, went grocery shopping, and planned my meals for the week! Told ya I was busy =)

We have had some FUN weekends lately! First of all, I threw Jeff a surprise birthday party Saturday before last! He turned 30 and now he feels super old...mission accomplished, hehehe! The party was awesome but unfortunately it was about 95 degrees...hence all the gross sweaty pictures =(

Then this weekend we went to Lindsay and Aaron's Mexican Fiesta Couples Shower! We had an awesome time, stayed out way too late, and I made up for it by taking a 4 hour nap on Sunday =) I'll post pictures from this weekend next!

BIG NEWS!!!!

I can finally let my secret out...I GOT A PROMOTION!!!! I am now the new Category Analyst for Sara Lee and I'm soooooo excited! I've been interviewing since before I left for Italy and I hadn't told anyone except for Jeff so my parents got a fun shocking phone call Tuesday afternoon with the good news! I'm going to be working 1/2 the time at my old job and 1/2 the time at my new job starting Monday, then I'll switch over full-time on the 27th. So I've spent the last 2 days running around trying to get things done before I start because I'm going to be super busy for a while!

I am sooooooo happy right now, God is so amazing!

So we have LOTS to celebrate this weekend...my promotion and Jeff's 30th birthday!! **cough cough surprise party cough cough** Hmm?

So Much to Update!

Ok so my blog has been royally acting up lately and I think it's finally going to work right (fingers crossed) so I have a ton of updating to do! First things first...our wedding website!!! It's still a work in progress but it was really fun to get started on it!

I added all of our "About Us" sections, the proposal story, our ceremony and reception info, and a photo album so far!

I've also signed up for Bridal Bootcamp Online! (You knew I would!) I've seen this program in a couple of magazines so I thought I would give it a try. It's basically meal planning and workout programs tailored to whatever your goal is...fitting into your dress, fitting into your bikini for your honeymoon, and so on. So far I'm liking it. The first week is a cleanse consisting of protein shakes w/ almond milk and fiber, and you also can have brown rice and veggies. It's all timed out so that you don't get hungry or sluggish and so far I've had tons of energy.

I just got back from a super hard BodyCombat class. I've been using 1 pound weighted gloves with this class and it has made SUCH a huge difference. I strongly suggest them if you're wanting to step it up a bit. You can use them for all kinds of workouts, even running. I got mine on Amazon.com for $12, just search for "women's weighted gloves" (mine are black and red).

I'm enjoying not being in class on a Monday night! My new class starts on Thursday nights this week. I hope I like it better.

This weekend was a lot of fun! Thursday night we had our friends Lex and Gina over for a HUGE dinner. We cooked bruschetta, salad, shrimp skewers, steak, green beans, and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. We did it the Italian way and made dinner last for hours. Seriously, we didn't even start eating the steak till 11:00 at night! I love it!

Then Friday we went to the lake...

(notice my fiance's "great" new koozie)

Saturday we stayed in during the day because it was storming but luckily it cleared up in time for a friend's party that night. More good food and pretty fireworks!

Sunday was pretty relaxing. I went to BodyCombat and went grocery shopping after that. That was about it!
