3 Day Weekend is Dunzo =(

Ugh, back to work. It sure doesn't feel like Tuesday though so maybe this week will go by quickly! I'm super happy that I work from home tomorrow =) It will be like a break after my break.

WE LEAVE FOR ITALY 2 WEEKS FROM TODAYYYYYYYY!!!! **cue jumping up and down and clapping** I have GOT to start my packing list. I need to take inventory of my closet and start planning outfits and things like that. Oh and some annoying news, Jeff told me this weekend he doesn't think we should go to Rome now because it's not geographically convenient with the other places we're going. So I think we're going to Nice instead. All the other places will stay the same, just those 2 days will change.

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend even though it rained pretty much the entire time.

Friday night, we went to dinner and then went to The Wine Cellar to hang out with some friends. It was really fun and we had some yummy wine and appetizers there. The weather was actually really nice that night so we took advantage.

Saturday, we went to Jeff's parent's house in Eureka Springs to have lunch with some of his family that was visiting from Chicago. We had some delicious fresh ham sandwiches with vegetables from their garden and his grandma made some AWESOME homemade chocolate chip cookies!! I was exhausted when we got back to Fayetteville so I took a looooong nap as soon as I got home and it started raining, which made me sleep even more! I think I woke up around 8:00pm...Oops.

My Statistics teacher FINALLY posted our grades that night (3 weeks after the class ended) and I found out that i got a B in the class! I'm so happy I didn't fail it! =)

Sunday we headed out to a friends lake house for a big party. It was so much fun, there were about 60 people there of all ages. Even though it was pouring down rain at one point, people were still jet skiing, tubing, and wakeboarding! Not me, I stayed on the dock and watched! Jeff went fishing with a little kid's Shrek fishing pole and caught a few. It was pretty funny. Then most of the afternoon we sat on the huge front porch of the house and told funny stories. We ate SOOOOOOO much food. Seriously, I was miserable by the time we left because I had eaten so much. It was delicious tough...ribs, chicken, salad, pasta salad, green beans, apple pie, spinach artichoke dip, meat and cheese trays, ice cream...you name it, they had it!

Yesterday I worked off all the food I ate and went to BodyPump in the morning then went for a run and did stadium stairs that afternoon. I also tried to catch up on homework since I didn't do any the whole weekend! It was nice not to have class last night. I woke right up at 5 this morning with BodyAttack with no trouble!
On a side note, have I mentioned how much Vincent is shedding now that the warm weather is sticking around? We like to make fur-nados in the backyard now! =)

So now I'm back at work with a busy week ahead. Lots of meetings, work outs, and homework! Have a great Tuesday back!

Shedding LB's Just in Time for Bathing Suit Season Kickoff Weekend!

I can't wait for this 3 day weekend to begin! This week has gone by really slow and it needs to hurry up already! I'm excited for the weekend because of the obvious reasons: off work, lake season begins, tanning, friends, fun, etc. But also because it's the end of the tough part of my diet! I've lost about 10 pounds so far and now I just want to maintain and tone up before I go to Italy.
To do that, I'm going to focus on getting some good quality cardio in at least 6 days a week and strength training 3 days. I've had some great workouts lately and I'm already seeing good results so now I just have to keep it up! Which is very easy considering I have bathing suit season and a huge vacation coming up. I'm seeing the most results with cardio classes like BodyCombat and BodyAttack right now so I'm going to try to fit those in whenever I can. I'm lucky my gym offers 2 pages worth of classes!

As far as eating goes, I'm going to continue eating healthy with the occasional indulgence. I'm really going to try to use the concepts I learned from "Naturally Thin", it's a great outlook on eating healthy and listening to your "food voice". I've had the biggest cravings for salads lately, especially with lots of vegetables and nuts so I'm going to give into those as much as possible while it lasts!

This week's workout schedule:

Monday: BodyPump (AM)
Tuesday: BodyAttack (AM) (I was going to go to another class that night but we had a spontaneous Girl's Night Out instead!)
Wednesday: BodyPump (Noon), P90X: Cardio (PM)
Thursday: BodyCombat (PM)
Friday: BodyPump (AM), Lawn Mowing (PM)
Saturday: BodyAttack (AM)
Sunday: Run/Stadium Stairs/Push-Ups/Pylometrics (AM)
I'm excited too, I just got an e-mail from the gym saying they're having BodyPump and BodyAttack Monday morning on the holiday! (yes, it's the little things that get me excited)

We're still planning on being at the lake as much as the weather permits this weekend (it's supposed to rain on Saturday) and we're going to a big dock party on Sunday. Should be a fun weekend!

I went to Victoria's Secret today at lunch to take advantage of the 10 cotton panties for $25, it's a great deal! They also had their makeup on sale for 75% off. I got 2 lipsticks for $3 each! So run down there if you're needing it!

If you get the SOAP channel, don't forget the season premiere of "Southern Belle's: Louisville" is tonight! I'm happy there is a reality show to replace the gap left by Grey's Anatomy for the summer!

I'm Alive!

I'm alive!! And feeling very well I must say! I ended up going home and noon on Thursday and stayed there the rest of the week. I felt like I had been hit by a Mac truck and stayed in bed most of the time. It was a gorgeous weekend and I finally started feeling normal yesterday and had the energy to go to BodyCombat. It was fun (and sweaty)! Jeff is sick too but I'm glad we're getting all this out of the way before our Italy trip....3 weeks and counting!!! I have so much to do =(

We had a pretty low key weekend. Friday night we watched "Taking Chance" at my house. It's a pretty sad movie, I would definitely never want that job. While we were watching the movie my doorbell rang and it was my next door neighbor telling me to come look at a turtle. OMG, I have NEVER seen a turtle this gigantic in my entire life! It was huge and it had a TAIL! It was just sitting in the middle of our fence lines! I took some pictures of it but you can't really tell how big it is from them. Anyways, I haven't see Mr. Turtle since so I guess he returned to his mudhouse in the woods somewhere.

Saturday I stayed home all day and did homework and watched Gilmore Girls. I bought another 2 seasons of it! I'm so addicted to Gilmore Girls. I went for a very easy run in the afternoon just because I was getting bored with being cooped up inside. I definitely didn't have much energy and it turned out being a 1/2 walk, 1/2 jog. But hey, at least I got some exercise!

Saturday night Jeff and I went to Jason's Deli for dinner, I was craving a gigantic salad and some soft serve ice cream (not on the diet but oh well). It was sooooo good. I wish I would have taken a picture of it! Spring mix, tomatoes, cucumbers, sprouts, pine nuts, broccoli, slivered almonds, parmesan cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette. So good! They had a lot of new organic items to choose from and also a fantastic roasted red pepper hummus.
After dinner we went to Locomotion, which is this arcade/go kart/put put place. It was really random that we went there, we both hadn't been since we were little kids. But hey, it seemed fun! So we played games and won a ton of tickets for like 2 hours. When we went to the ticket counter we found out that we had 645 tickets but the cute little stuffed animal that looked like Vincent was 1000 =( So I looked around the counter and saw a large family with a lot of kids that were looking through the 5 and 10 ticket items and I gave our tickets to them. They were excited.

The weather is FINALLY gorgeous again. It's supposed to be nice all week and hopefully for Memorial Day weekend! I'm looking forward to everyone coming into town, going out on the lake and out to Dickson Street and going to a dock party on Sunday!
I promise I'll take pictures! I didn't take any this weekend because I looked like death warmed over and only wore makeup and fixed my hair for like an hour!

Not Feeling So Hawt

I think I may have swine flu and/or a stomach virus. I've been feeling run down since Tuesday and yesterday I couldn't keep ANYTHING down! It was a good thing I was working from home, I didn't get too much done though. I hate being sick =( I would rather be sick this week then next though since it's Memorial Day weekend.

The weather is still crappy, it's been raining for like a month and 1/2 here. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice (maybe) then it's going to dump on us again on Saturday. Lovely, considering we re-scheduled our Junior League Touch-A-Truck fundraiser (because of the rain) for this Saturday. I don't know WHAT we're going to do if it's another downpour.
Speaking of Junior League, we had our Annual Dinner on Tuesday night and it was really nice! All the new members graduated into active members and I was so proud of them! I was actually the photographer in charge of taking a few pictures so that we can announce them in our newspaper. Aren't they lovely ladies?! =)
I'm seriously debating going home, it's almost noon. And tomorrow is a 1/2 day for me anyway so maybe if I rest up I'll be better before the weekend? I'm going to try to stick it out though, I'm too lazy to drive all the way back home right now!

We had to reschedule Girl's Night AGAIN this week. Instead Jeff and I had Date Night last night and watched "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" while I complained about my stomach hurting the whole time. The movie was really good but verrrrry long. It's a good story though, well worth it.

I finished Bethanny Frankel's "Naturally Thin" book last week. I loved it, some of the rules were common sense rules that we should all think about on a daily basis but don't. I'm actually typing up the rules and some of the advice and recipes right now so I can refer to them really quickly. I'm going to put her list of rules on my fridge! Anyway, I highly recommend the book, I think everyone can get at least a few things from it.
How fantastic was the first part of the Real Housewives of NYC reunion show?! I can't wait for tonight. Ramona is absolutely out of her mind and should increase the dosage on whatever meds she's taking. And Kelly continues to make absolutely no sense every time she opens her mouth..."The grass isn't always greener no matter how much fertilizer you have"....hmmm.
Tonight is sure to be one big catfight, I just hope the right people get put in their place and no one gets beaten up!

Oh and PS - I got so bored with the new Real House (mafia) wives of New Jersey I turned it off after 15 minutes. Boooo...

Weekend Update and Busy Week Ahead

Hola! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been busy preparing for my next class that starts tonight. I didn't get the book until FRIDAY!! I was so annoyed, it only left me the weekend to finish all the reading and homework that was assigned for today. I'll think twice before buying a textbook off of a private Amazon.com seller again! Oh well, I finished in time and e-mailed my assignment this morning so I'm good!

We had so much fun this weekend at the Crawfish Boil! The rain thankfully held out and the sun actually came out in the afternoon!
We had our "tent city" set up just in case the rain came though!
4 WEEKS TILL ITALY!!!!!!!!!!!! I am getting soooooo excited! I ordered a new bathing suit last week from Victoria's Secret for the trip. I'm allowing myself 1 new bathing suit per summer now because I have way too many. =) Does this one say "I'm a hawt American girl staying at an Italian villa"? Haha!
I was so tired yesterday. I had a really bad headache Saturday night and slept in with the kitty till NOON on Sunday! I needed it though, I was still a little tired this morning with the 5am wake up call but BodyPump and coffee got me going!

DONE With Statistics!

Hallelujah, the hardest class ever is OVER! I was so happy on the way home last night, I even bought myself the "Bride Wars" DVD as a reward for all the hard work I did! =) I can't wait to watch it, hopefully it's good. I'm still nervous about my grade but I put a lot of hard work into all the things that were due yesterday so hopefully it will pay off. The test was pretty tough, as always, ugh.

My next class is Strategic Analysis and Design, it starts on Monday and I already have homework. I ordered my book off of an Amazon seller a couple of weeks ago and I still haven't received it! She's been e-mailing me though and said that I should be seeing it soon. I know this class SOUNDS extremely boring by the title but I've actually heard a lot of people say that it was one of their favorites out of the MBA program. It's a lot of case studies, which will be different than any other class I've done so far.
Girls Night is TBD for tonight, Tara may not be able to make it because her final is tonight and she thinks she'll get out later than she thought she would. But Lindsay and I still may hang out. Who knows, if the weather cooperates, we may go celebrate Cinco de Mayo for a while! Too bad I can't enjoy my beloved Mexican food =( My diet is giving me FANTASTIC results though, so it's worth it! Only 5 more weeks till Italy, gotta tone and tighten!
Our annual Crawfish Boil is this Saturday, should be fun! I'm going to take Penny to it and let her play with everybody. She's definitely a people lover! Then I have to meet my parents at my house after they land and give her back =(

Season Final of Real Housewives of NYC tonight, don't forget to watch!

Monday, May 4, 2009

I'm DONE!...Almost

I'm finished with my final homework, paper, and presentation! Now onto the final exam =( I'm so excited to turn this in and be done with it. The paper ended up being 20 pages and the presentation ended up being 18 slides! That's a lot. I'm not nervous about the presentation at all, it's basically just going through my paper and breaking everything down. I'm sort of nervous about the test but not too bad, I think I know this material a little better than last time, it makes more sense at least.

Little Penny is doing very well at my house so far! She's even getting along with the kitty! We had to introduce them verrrrry carefully last night and now they're best buds. We waited until Penny had eaten and was really full and sleepy so she would be calm. She's a very excitable wiener, haha!

BodyPump felt SO good this morning. My legs are already feeling tight so I may be a little sore tomorrow. I did P90X Legs last night so that is probably why. A little update on P90X...I'm not doing every single day anymore, I'm mostly using it as an extra workout for when I'm at home watching tv or if I miss a class at the gym. I just don't want to waste my gym membership so I'm incorporating both into my workout schedule. For instance, yesterday I got so caught up in my paper that I didn't realize it was 2:15 and time to leave for BodyCombat...so later in the night, I did P90X while I watched Desperate Housewives and it all worked out!

They installed new shower heads and the gym and me no likey! I guess they're trying to save water or something because it's a lot less than what it was. I will miss the 500 pounds of water pressure giving my scalp a massage in the mornings. I do love me some good water pressure. It even felt like an upper back massage sometimes after a tough workout!

Well, I hope you all have a fantastic Monday =) Hopefully all of this rain we've had will get out of the way by the weekend!
