Stress Ball

I am one big gigantic ball of stress right now! So much to do and so little time...where are Jessie Spano's caffeine pills when you need them?! My goal for the day is to have 75% of my paper done by tonight. That way I can finish it up tomorrow and Saturday, make my presentation and study on Sunday, go over everything on Monday, then be DUNZO!

I'm already planning a Girl's Night at my house Tuesday night, I know I'll need it! Tara and Lindsay are going to come over and we're probably going to rent a girly movie and have lots of juicy girl talk!
Speaking of next week, starting Saturday I'll be wiener-dog sitting this little darling for my parents for a whole week! She's a sweetheart and loves to play so it will be a good time. Vincent will be worn out though!

I can't believe tomorrow is May 1st!! This month flew by, Italy will be here before we know it!!! I finally convinced Jeff to let me take a suitcase instead of a backpack. He made me PROMISE that I won't make him pull it anywhere...even up stairs...gulp. So now I feel better about getting everything packed. However, Jeff's mom told me not to rely on an iron being at every place we stay. So I'm thinking about getting a travel iron or travel steamer? Has anyone ever used one of these? I saw a few online that are pretty cheapo. Oh, that reminds me, I need to order adapters too! Ahhh, so much to do! I think I'll worry about getting through with this class THEN worry about Italy stuff!

How 'Bout Them Hogs?!

So, how bout that swine flu? Pretty crazy...it's become the running joke in our office but it really is a scary thing! I have some friends that have had to cancel their graduation trips to Mexico =(

Well, it's the last week of class and I am in full-time freak out mode. Seriously. About 50% of our points are all due next Monday including a HUGE paper, presentation, final exam, and final homework. O-M-G. Luckily I really don't have too much going on this weekend so I can dedicate a ton of time to it. I was going to volunteer at Touch-A-Truck, which is a fundraiser our Junior League is doing this Saturday. But after looking at the work load I'll have this weekend, I knew I wouldn't be able to enjoy it because I would be worrying about all the work I have to do, so I let them know I couldn't make it. I sure will miss it though, it's a really fun event! If any of you live in Northwest Arkansas, please come out and support us! Here is some info:

I finished reading "The Kite Runner" last week, it was sooooo good! I really want to read the 2nd book "A Thousand Splendid Suns" now. Has anyone read it? I also need to be thinking of a book to take to Italy. I always like to bring a big HUGE book on vacations and just get lost in them! I'm a bit of a book worm =)
I started my big diet for Italy this week! It's going really well and I feel good. Hopefully I'll have time to work out as much as I want to this week, it's going to be a pretty busy one. Tonight I'm going to a Razorback baseball game with Jeff and some of his clients. And Thursday I've got a big Happy Hour/Roast for one of our co-workers who got promoted into a new team. Should be fun!

3 Years and Wedding Fun!

Jeff and I have officially been together for 3 whole years today! Can you believe he's put up with me that long?! We had a great early anniversary dinner at Bordino's Friday night. The food was delicious and the conversation was great as well!

Then Saturday we headed down to Hot Springs to attend Matt and Char's wedding! It was a very quick weekend but we had so much fun hanging out with everyone. The wedding location was in Garvin Gardens and it was BEAUTIFUL! There were flowers EVERYWHERE! And the tent had some really awesome chandeliers hanging from the top made out of little white lights. It was the perfect weather and the perfect day for a perfect wedding!

I forgot to bring my big lens for my camera but I still got some good shots....

The beautiful bride all ready to go!

They DO!

Pretty flowers....

First dance!

When Jeff got a drink, EVERYONE got a drink!
Family portraits!

Us girls had to get on the dance floor and show everyone how it's done!
FUN!

I wish I was a little bit taller!
We're back at home and this week is crunch time for me with the last week of class! =( Have a great Monday!

Re-Charged

I had another relaxing day working from home yesterday! I feel completely re-charged, which is good because I was exhausted Tuesday night. I got home late and would have missed BodyAttack so instead I went on a long run and did some stadium stair sprints. It was harrrrd! And the bugs were out in full force on the running trail after the sun started going down. The trail runs next to a creek so that's the only thing I don't like about it when the weather is warm.

Yesterday I worked and laid out at lunch time! I got some good sun and read a lot more of "The Kite Runner". I'm almost done with it, it's been reeeally good so far. A very interesting story for sure.

Later in the afternoon Jeff and I took the kitty to the vet. After her traumatic de-clawing experience, there is one little paw that just isn't healing and she won't stand on it and limps around all the time. She's also been really lethargic lately, so we decided to take her in. Welllllll....they gave us an antibiotic for her paw and a pill for TAPE WORMS!!! Grooooossss! Yeah, good thing we brought her in, we wouldn't have known that's what was making her so tired! Poor Millie =(

Last night we had Date Night and I cooked pork loin, green beans, mashed potatoes, and bruschetta...it was gooood! We also had a nice bottle of red wine and watched "Tale of Desperaux", it was a good movie with a nice moral to the story. It reminded me of Ratatouille though!

I've got a lot of school stuff to get done these next two days then we're going to a wedding in Hot Springs on Saturday. Oh! And we decided to celebrate our 3 year anniversary a little early on Friday night so I'm trying to figure out where I want to go to dinner. So many choices!

Exam #2....D-O-N-E!

The test last night was pretty painful. I got stuck at one point and felt like crying, then I finally remembered how to do the problem I was working on and finished. At first I thought I did really really bad, but then I talked to her about some of the problems and she said that I had them right. So we'll see. She straight up told us she wouldn't have grades up for a week. =( I told her that makes my heart hurt and that I won't be able to sleep until I see my grade!

Oh and did I mention we started out with 12 students in the class and now there are only 4? I have NEVER been in a class that had that many students drop.

The material we covered last night was so over my head too. I'm going to have to re-read all these chapters and try to figure it out. We're literally covering this entire huge book in about 6 weeks. I'm VERY glad there are only 2 weeks left but I have a ton of work to do to finish my project, paper, study for the final, finish the final homework, and all that good stuff. Yay me!

So I mowed my lawn last Thursday and remember how I said it was like a forest because I hadn't mowed in so long? Well I guess Vincent found his way over to the wet, freshly cut clover.....

Yeah...green dog for about a day.

I'm about to go to my Junior League marketing committee lunch meeting at Crabby's....salmon salad....YUUUUUMMMM! Tonight I'm going to BodyAttack, doing some P90X, and watching the Real Housewives of NYC! NO STUDYING, I needs a break!

Wow, That Weekend Went By FAST!

Why do weekends always FLY by when I have a test on Monday? I'm prepared but I'm skerd....this material is way harder than what was on the first test. An obvious happening but I still don't like it!

Friday night was soooo fun! We were supposed to go to dinner at Soul with Lindsay and Aeron but we forgot that we were poodle-sitting (hee hee!) for Jeff's parents while they flew back in from California and they were coming to my house to pick little Maggie up that night.

So we decided to just all come over to my house, eat pizza, and drink wine and beer till our little hearts were content! We had so much fun and laughed the entire night. I love when you find really good new friends that you have so much in common with. They're getting married this fall too, I'm so excited!

So after our fun filled Friday night I pretty much did absolutely nothing the rest of the weekend except study, sleep, work out, and watch tv, and it was glorious! It was raining off and on the entire weekend so I took full advantage of the lazy weekend.

Last night I watched the Miss USA pageant, it was really good! My fav's were North Carolina(who won), California, and Texas. Which is weird because they all looked exactly like each other! North Carolina was a great choice though, very pretty, classy, and well spoken.

I have a sort-of busy week ahead of me...a couple of meetings, a lunch-time Junior League Committee meeting tomorrow (our last one for this year), Date Night Wednesday night, and then we have a wedding in Hot Springs this weekend. And of course lots of working out in between! Everyone have a great Monday and a fantastic week!

PS - New blog layout, ya like?! =)

Passport is Here...And So is a Giant To Do List!

My passport came in the mail yesterday! It's official, I can legally go to Italy =) Less than 8 weeks to go, woo hoo!

I start my big diet up again in 10 days, and I'm pretty excited. The weather is starting to get warm again therefore the clothes get smaller, right? I'm waiting 10 days because that will be right after Jeff and I go to a wedding and I want to have CAKE!
Tuesday night was fun, Tara, Lindsay and I went to dinner at Mellow Mushroom. It was my first time there and I thought it was delicious. Then we went to the Junior League meeting...I added a TON of events to my day planner after that meeting, this spring is turning out to be quite a busy one. All for a good cause though!

Jeff and I had our usual Date Night last night. I made Angel Chicken Pasta and it was guuuuuud! We watched the movie "Yes Man" too, it was okay.

I have GOT to mow my lawn tonight before the rain comes in, I've got a forest of crab grass growing in my back yard. I'm afraid Vincent is going to get lost in it! I really want to go to BodyCombat tonight though, I may have to choose between the two.
I also need to organize my closet a bit tonight. I started putting white pants and skirts and other summer clothes that I had stored away back into my main closet yesterday. I need to put the winter stuff away now and organize it. I'm a freak when it comes to my closets (yes, I have 2 walk-ins in my bathroom, lurve it!)...everything is organized by category, sleeve length, and color. Creepy huh? But I NEVER have a problem finding something I'm planning to wear so HA!

I have some errands to run today at lunch then I need to work on homework. I have sooooo much school stuff to finish before Monday. The Spring Game/Razorfest is this Saturday but I may have to miss it to finish all of this =( I guess Jeff will just have to go with the boys!

Well, I'm off to run my errands, have a loverly day!
